Family Court Testing

Court-admissible drug, alcohol & DNA testing for family court.

We help you pick the right test for the case and explain what the result will and won't prove in court — drug, alcohol (EtG, PEth), and DNA testing for custody, divorce, and parentage, with both parties handled neutrally. Chain of custody that holds up, from a collector who testifies, is a given. Serving Chicago and the suburbs since 2010.

Why TrueTest

Built for the courtroom, not repurposed from the clinic.

A collector who testifies

When a chain of custody is challenged, the person who collected the sample can take the stand and explain it. Michael Gammel has testified on chain of custody in Chicago-area family court — your result comes with someone who can defend it.

Independent — not tied to a clinical chain

We're an independent testing service, not a wing of a healthcare conglomerate. Every result is produced for the setting it's going into — a courtroom, a compliance file, an HR record — never repurposed from clinical protocols built for something else.

Both parties, handled neutrally

In a contested matter, neutrality is the whole point. We test both sides the same way, document everything the same way, and answer to the court — not to either party.

You get a human — on the first call

No phone tree, no ticket queue, no three-day response SLA. When you call 847-258-3966 during business hours, someone who knows your case picks up.

Our story

Focus beats trying to do everything.

TrueTest Labs was founded in 2010 by Michael Gammel, who came to the testing industry from a career in business — not as a lab tech, but as an operator who saw an industry full of providers trying to do everything and doing very little of it well.

The premise was simple: coordinate testing through accredited partner laboratories, own the part that wins or loses cases — the chain of custody — and execute it at a level the large national providers couldn't match. More than a decade later, that hasn't changed.
